Forsythe is a 100-percent employee-owned company through its employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The Forsythe ESOP is a retirement plan that every employee is eligible for from their first day of employment. Employee-owners are not required to contribute any money to this plan.

Like many ESOP-owned companies, Forsythe has established an Employee Ownership Team to help educate its employee-owners about the benefits and responsibilities of employee ownership. In 2007, Forsythe won an award from the National ESOP Association for excellence in communicating to employee-owners.
